uhm.. what bios are you using? That might be a part of it. Also, what XBE are you testing that's giving a black screen? if you use something like padText.xbe does it have the debug output?

to be honest it could be that the xbox is PAL. I have no idea if that would affect it but I have a feeling it might :/. Anyone use openXDK with a PAL xbox?

try launching from evolution-X. That has been the most successful, and I think most widely tested, launcher for openXDK XBEs.

I really don't know. Maybe the other dashes set the xbox into a different state that what is expected when it loads a new executable.
