Get on xbins and download Slayer's Auto Installer.  I think it's in .iso format.  Burn it onto a CD-RW using DVDDecrypter.

If you put this into your xbox, it will enable FTP.  You can choose to install evox as a dashboard from the menu as well.

You need to flash a new bios onto the chip.  Get one from xbins.  Read about which one you need before you do.

Sweet, I flashed the bios successfully.

When I launch it from the xenium menu, it shows an evox logo in the upper left corner.

Now, if I want to add the avalaunch dashboard - what steps should I take?

I downloaded a Qwix tool for ISO creation.  Just not exactly sure what the hell I am doing.  I made an ISO file with all the avalaunch folders inside.  When I try to launch, I get a message "file doesn't fit".

Again, I am an idiot when it comes to this.  I am surprised I have gotten this far.

Thanks,
Vinny

I'm a Newb too and believe these guys when they say get Slayer's 2.6! For a newb like myself it is so easy to use, once you get it installed, FTP to your box and see how it is setup after Slayers. That should give you an idea of how things should be configured for your box.

Avalaunch comes with Slayers (along with other goodies) and has a cool update feature, it is what I run for a Dash currently. smile.gif
