Modchip Help!
« on: August 28, 2013, 12:31:00 PM »

probably (from the front panel pcb) an xecuter 2 chip. (fyi, that is not the chip you see that is just a controll pannel for the chip. the chip is inside the xbox)
the chip lets you run unsigned code or install a dashboad "what you see when you turn it on is the evolution x dashboard"
the xbox can run xbox games "back ups and originals" homebrew "emulators and XBMC" you can alos easily upgrade your hard disk.

What we dont know is what bios is installed on the chip.
unless you have any issues with it id imagine the bios is fine for the usage you want..

cannot tell you where to download stuff. because even homebrew things could contain code that is under copyright.

But any home brew things you do download "like xbmc, or emulators, or anything you download for that matter" can be transfered from your pc/laptop to the xbox via FTP.

there are lots of tutorials on the internet to help you FTP to your xbox.

I use filezilla.
So basically you hook up your xbox "via Ethernet cable" to your router. turn it on and it will tell you its ip address.
then you use file zilla on your pc or laptop and tell it to connect to the xbox's ip address.
then you just transfer the files like that.

Thats about all i can answer of your questions within forum rules.
