Did anyone ever experience problems with starting a game at all?

I tried getting GTA SA to work, but it doesn´t even start, neither from HDD nor from DVD, not matter if it´s patched for 1.4 g and 128 RAM or not.

The console simply reboots, I also tried it with the X3 turned off, so that it uses the X2 Bios on the TSOP, but still, it simply reboots....

everything else works fine BTW (the GTA disc also works, tried it on another console...)

any suggestions are welcome

Hi,
first off, is there no EDIT Button here or did I just not find it?!

the Problem appears to be solved, it had nothing to do with the CPU mod, it actually had to do with GTA PAL Copies not working on NTSC Systems due to region protection.....

Received my board yesterday, tried it out today and it boots up fine, Linux detects the RAM. Going to try it with Emulators & Linux this weekend so I'll post results, but I can already see that the hardware is very well done!

This is amazing. Just unpacked my old Xbox, and there's still people keeping the scene alive.

Trusty, I have a 1.0 board, if I want to get it upgraded, what's the best way? Send you my box, or order a new 1.4/128 board from you?

Firstly congratulation for this project, it seems a lot of persons are still in love of the first xbox and all its wonderfull abilities.

I would like to get my so loved    xbox 1st generation be upgraded with higher cpu/mem.
Knowing I am living in France, Paris,
What is your suggestion  :

What is the price in each case ?
If you send me a new MB, Does my current and original xbox case will fit it ?
