"ghosting" Xbox Hdd
« on: August 19, 2004, 10:02:00 AM »

Hi,

Newbie here

I've chipped up some friends XBox's and wish to copy over the 200 (or so) Albums and Emulators that I currentley have on my HDD to theirs. By using the FTP inbuilt with EvoX it seems to either only copy over single files at a time or just the directory structure.

Is there a simple way to connect my HDD up to a PC and transfer just the F: drive over to their HDD??

Thanks in advance

A couple weeks ago, I used Norton Ghost 2003 (In DOS) to copy an Xbox HDD (120gb) to another one (160gb).  Worked fine for me...  This will do a COMPLETE copy of the HDD though...  You can use a crossover cable and XTOOLBOX to transfer between the Xboxes.

XTOOLBOX sounds like it might be ideal

However, (as usual), like a spoon I've lost all my FTP links to the XB sites - anyone enlighten me as to where I can get a copy of this from?
