Two different formats the - is more widely spread because it was released first. + is relatively new. It is supposed to be more compatible, have better quality, its a bit more expensive than - thou.

Surf the net for consice diferences.

basically DVD + follows more of the DVD mastering specs than DVD -

+ is more campatible with DVD players than -

Media wise in North America price is about the same not sure about the EU

Most important is Xbox loves +RW....

                   I have both.

I have yet to find DVD+R/RW as cheap as the $0.89/ea DVD-R media.

+r discs dont need to be closed for playback. thats why they're used more for video production rather than for other uses.
-r discs need to be closed to be read by playback devices
