Could some one help me iam trying to make a skins whit xbx2dds2img and it don't know maybe i do something wrong

All Skins consist of about 30 xbx images, you will need to add whichever images you think will work for your skin.
The actual images and the sizes needed are:

Background.xbx (mein menu background) 1024 x 512 pixels
Bottom_1.xbx – Bottom_8.xbx, The MemoryX cube pics, 128 x 128 pixels
cellwall.xbx (cellwall patern) 256 x 256 pixels
Cube.xbx and Hilite.xbx, MemoryX cube Back's, 128 x 128 pixels
Chrome.xbx , 256 x 256 pixels
Dvd_button.xbx , 128 x 128 pixels
Dvd_paneltex.xbx , 1024 x 64 Pixels
Dvdstop.xbx and Dvdstopw.xbx , (Dvd stop background, w=widescreen), 1024 x 512 pixels
Gamehilight_01.xbx, (menu hilight) , 512 x 64 pixels
Harddrivebg.xbx 1024 x 512 pixels
Menubacking.xbx , 256 x 256 pixels
Outline.xbx , (menu text background) 512 x 64 pixels
Xbox4.xbx 256 x 256 pixels
Xboxlogo.xbx and Xboxlogow.xbx (loading disc screen) 1024 x 512 pixels
*w= widescreen
Xboxlogo128 , 128 x 128 pixels
Xboxlogo64 , 63 x 64 pixels
xxxxorb.xbx (xxxx replaced by settings,memory etc..) , 256 x 256 pixels
(this xbx will be wraped around the orbs)

The above sizes are the size that i use in all my skins, they may work being different sizes but i can say for sure,i haven't tried.

Step 1 : Creating Your BMP's
You will need to use a graphics editing/creating package to create all of you pics into bmp files.
I use photoshop, which has the added advantage of using transparent parts to the image, to do this though save your image as a .tga file.
You will need to save all of your images in the pixel sizes stated above.

Step 2 : Converting your images to XBX's
As i said earlier i assume you all know how to use these programs, if i had more time i would go into it here but i've gotta be quick. (maybe i'll add it soon)
If your images contain trasnparent parts to them remeber to save the in .tga format before converting to XBX.

this is the program
(IMG:http://membres.lycos.fr/existenzgame/images/bundler.JPG)
there is 2 test images, can you tell me if somthing wrong whit the images maybe..!?
whit the background & xboxlogo cause i can't convert them ..!?

(IMG:http://membres.lycos.fr/existenzgame/images/background.jpg)
(IMG:http://membres.lycos.fr/existenzgame/images/xboxlogo.jpg)

Question:How do i use this program..!?

Your help will be greatly appreciated..!!(IMG:http://forums.xbox-scene.com/style_images/oldx/folder_post_icons/icon13.gif)

well it all looks good and yr images are the right size... so ... make sure yr file names have no spaces in them and if thats not the problem try converting them to bitmap first (@32bit) <

where do you insert the image  (.bmp) ..!?

cause when i put the image in the (img) folder and i run the program ..
all i see...is the Command DOS a few seconds & there is nothing in the (xbx) & (dds) folder ..!?

maybe the bundler.exe is too old..!?

images go in the "img" dir. Does the prog work at all for you? have you registered "kixforms.dll"? or tried it without a firewall running?

edit: no the file names are not specific (tho they need to have no spaces in them)

yr version of bundler is most likely not the problem...

it wont work at all with windows 98, if your using win xp/2000 click start>run> then type

CODE
regsvr32 -u kixforms.dll
                >>>>>>>>>>>to unregister the dll

then:

CODE
regsvr32 kixforms.dll
                  >>>>>>>>>>>>>>to re-register

It's about 3 or 4 programs depending on what 3D program you like to mesh around with.
I personally use;
Lightwave 3D modeler
3DS max
Deep Exploration
and
user.interface.x.xm.tool

Jump on our IRC channel and you can get help alot faster.

Basically I use Lightwave to creat all my 3D objects and use it to save as an .obj
I then open up 3DS max and import the .obj, I then apply a texture to the object and export it as an .ase file. Deep Exploration is then used to open and veiw (to make sure the skinning went smooth) the .ase and to convert it into an .x file (doo do do doo doo do do doo) Finally user.interface.x.xm.tool is used to open the .x file and save it as the coveted .xm file and it's ready for the xbox.
Hope that helps

ASE to XM is fine for converting the dash models to something you can edit or use as a reference to get your models placed correctly in your 3d app of choice (Just import the model you are modifying into your app and keep your new model close it its size, rotation etc etc). But it will not re-create .xm's correctly, they will look flatish in the dash. Always use xm tool when making .xm's
