Trainers What Are They Really Good For?
« on: March 25, 2004, 08:04:00 AM »

Ok, dumb question, but what do the trainers do?  I looked on the EvolutionX Trainers website and noticed it had alot of games.  But what do the + numbers mean.  And if installed in the trainers folder, what does this do for the game?  Is each trainer specific?

so saw that my trainers all end in *.etm in my trainer folder, (i used slayers auto instal) but the trainers i have gotten off the net have different file extentions like: GTA vice has 4 files one is *.xbe which is an extention for the game folder.  Halo has *.ips and *.diz  plus it looks like it has pal and ntsc both.  anyways, how do  you know which folder or location to put them?  then, once they are in place, to get to work.  I'm guessing everyone is different....

one last thing if i may, whats an emulator?
Thanks for your feedback.

An emulator emulates game consoles like nintendo 64, super nintendo etc...
The ones you find on the net with .xbe you need to replace the default.xbe of your game. The .etm ones you pute them in your evox trainer folder (usualy c:\trainers). It depends where you installed evox.
