Adding Xbmc As A Dash In Evox, But Complicated Issue...
« on: January 25, 2015, 09:16:00 AM »

With hardmodded ie. chipped Xboxes many of the important system folders and files are, usually, by default, put on the C:\drive rather than, as with a softmod the, E:\drive. But that set up looks a bit unusual to me. It doesn't mean its wrong just that I've not seen anything quite like it.

You can also grab your evox.Ini and edit it on your PC. There is a pretty straight forward formula for adding items into the list. You could just add a line called xbmc and point it to the xbmc folder wherever it is.

Thanks for your responses!  OK, so I logged into the machine via ftp, and attempted to create an E/Apps folder.  It allowed it, and I transferred the XBMC folder over to the machine.  However, after restarting it, the directory and all it's contents were gone.  Completely.  Not sure what the deal with that is.

Put xbmc on a disk and put it in your Xbox. Do a file transfer from disk to box. Faster and easier than ftp.

Sorry I didn't see the C:\ at the top, I just looked at the directory listing and mistakenly assumed it was E:\. Apologies.

There are not two copies of evoxdash.xbe, one is evodash.xbe and the other is evoxdash.xbe...

agreed it could probably be cleaned up, but if we are only looking for having XBMC as a selectable object in the list, that would be a quick/easy/dirty solution.
