Need To Redo Softmod?

Is the softmod actually broken? If not why are you wanting to redo the whole thing and maybe mess up an otherwise functioning machine.

Didn't mean I had to reinstall the mod. Just put back what was took off at least. I'm having trouble doin FTP.  Always says can't connect or something. I can burn hexed n do it that way. Would I need to use xiso or quix. Or is that just for burning xbox games

It depends if you found HeXEn or HexIns? The readme that should come with both versions explains what to do with whatever type you have.
