Oh, come on.  In all fairness...

You probably have a Samsung drive in your XBox.

My first XBox had a Thompson drive in it.  I got Dirty Disc Errors all the time -- ALL THE TIME!  I'm not the only one, either.

The XBox has since been using better drives.  I'd estimate that about only 10% of new XBoxes have Thompsons in them now.  

Now, if you don't have a biased memory, you'll remember that there was a big deal made about the early PS2 having problems with their DVD drives, more specifically related to DVD playback (if I remember correctly).  But, both the XBox and PS2 had their share of problems with the DVD drives in their early-production consoles.

I do have the Samsung DVD-Drive haha.

But I still feel that XBOX is better.  I know I will give PS3 a look at but most likely Im going to be sticking with the XBOX.

I wish xbox2 would come out after ps3, because i will not by any console before they bouth are out, then they wil compete on the price...

and ps3 will have better hardware. that sucks.

I think you are forgetting to view the larger picture.  If the XBox 2 comes out before the PS3, then

#1 by the time both are out, the XBox 2 will have a much greater number of games available for it.  This was the case when the PS2 came out before the XBox.

#2 when the PS3 does come out, it will probably be cheaper than the XBox (depending on hardware)  and that will force MS to make a decision to drop their price as well.  Though this didn't historically happen at the launch of the XBox, I'd attribute the reason of the higher XBox launch price due to much higher quality in hardware and more hardware (more memory, a HDD that was expensive at the time).
