Xbox Now! leaks just ahead of its May 21st event

Half a paragraph with generic details does not equate to full details.  rolleyes.gif

The entire above story is not false. Produced by AMD, but that does not require IBM to not be involved in the chip's design. Was IBM involved? Perhaps not, but that does not negate the other points within the story that have been announced.

QUOTE
* There is now a full 12 gigabytes of high-speed RAM in the new Xbox Now! console, unlike the previous rumors of only 8gb.
* To be precise, there is 4gb GDDR5 on the GPU and 8gb GDDR5 on the 8-Core IBM custom CPU.

If you actually read the story, it claims 12GB of total memory, specifically 8GB of system memory and 4GB of GPU memory. 8GB of system memory has been confirmed, while the total GPU memory has not been announced. The SoC development process has not been outlined, and it is possible that IBM was involved. (We won't know until they release full details.) Fusion, Now, whatever. Branding is really irrelevant to me and not the big part of the story. Obviously that part of the story was incorrect.

Rumors are always hit and miss. That's to be expected.

***These details appear to have come from someone on 4chan posing as a Rare employee.***

How can you possibly stand behind anything, with that being the source?

Xbox Now! - NOPE
Eric from IBM will be a speaker on the 21st - NO
Referred to as neXtBox throughout development period - NO
KineXbox to those looking for a beating - NO NO NO NO NO

Look at all the in depth stuff on vgleaks. You'd take the word of this random troll over theirs?

No offence man, but seriously, you'd have to be out of your *&^%$£" mind to believe anything else written by that guy!
