If this turns out to be true, Microsoft might have just won the console wars for this generation.

Not that far fetched.... My PC has 16GBs of ram and an 8 core CPU clocked at 4GHZ stock.

Lets hope this is true.

8GB of system RAM and 4GB of video RAM is not unrealistic. 4.9tflops is a little bit more than a 7970, which is almost 15 months old at this point. I don't know if these rumors are true, but I wouldn't think them impossible. I would just wonder how Microsoft could maintain those margins and survive.

QUOTE
Referred to as neXtBox throughout development period, KineXbox to those looking for a beating, but the official title is... "Xbox Now!"

Yes, it even has that little explanation point at the end, the ’Xbox Now!’
Specs; 7000-series AMD, Backwards compatibility, access to featured ’channels’ and social networking dependent on membership status, as previously stated, and subscription to the "Now!" service.

At launch capable of viewing in 3D, with added option of playing disc media such as DVD’s and Blu-Ray’s once again depending on Now! and membership period.

QUOTE
Like Kinect, Xbox Now! required adequate space to function properly. The design has remained largely unchanged from the previous Xbox 360 Slim version, a bit of artsy decal on the side that has "Now!" written across it.
It looks gaudy as hell, and extremely tacky, but what do I know...

The bit about the decal sounds totally bogus to me  laugh.gif . Backwards compatibility would be nice though!

I wish the 21st would hurry!

That would be interesting if it wasn't for this:
The domain is as old as the Xbox1.

Well time for history lesson then.

If you big as M$, you can mess with 'history' of whois, and change dates.

Real History:

XboxNow.com in 2000 is register and buyer puts up screen asking for $50,000 greenbacks.

XboxNow.com launches as Xbox gaming FAN site with forums and news back in 2001

Runs for a while, until the admin gets sick with cancer, his last post is in Aug. 2005

Site stays stuck as-is for another 2 years until the already paid register/bills run out in Sept. 2008

In 2011 it is reborn as redirect to BING as M$ control search phrase

In 2013 it starts to redirect instead directly to XBOX.com

Consoles always have to be designed with the future in mind, not the present. These machines are built for 8-10 year life cycles. With the ability to mass order IT technology that MS has, and the technological regression RAM and CPU prices have seen, those specs are completely possible. The MS Powerpoint link last year did set a 8gb minimum RAM target, so it is not completely out of the realm of possibility.

That's not really "messing" with the history though, is it? That's just stating that the domain has existed before Microsoft owned it. Microsoft owns a tonne of domains like that and as you've pointed out, this one has been in their possession since at least 2011. How on earth is this "evidence" of anything? Especially evidence of anything in the post above? You haven't even included a link to any kind of source for that information. As near as I can tell, the whole "proof" revolves around that domain being owned by MS, which proves nothing.

Chill out, dude. Nobody is claiming anything as "evidence" or "proof". All that was being said is it's interesting how xboxnow.com redirects to xbox.com. Everything is just speculation and rumour at this point. No need for drama  ph34r.gif .

Besides XboxNow.com, the other site 'XboxFusion.com' has now started redirecting to the main Xbox.com site

If you study the web source code on the #xboxreveal page, you will notice that M$ is using the code letters, 'x2f' in the user tracking code, and 'x2fhub' and 'x2freveal' for the java source pages.

It could be FUSION is the name of the console, and NOW! is the name of the new Live.

They haven't covered the GPU yet. CPU is 8 core with 8GB of system RAM, which is what was rumored.

They haven't covered the GPU RAM or specs yet. There is 8GB of system RAM, which is what this news item declared.

They're still having talks right now. The main event is finished, but there are hardware guys going over the system design right now. It's live on Twitch. We will see if Eric from IBM speaks today.
