I have a slim ps3 drive KEV 450AAA that will no longer load or eject  discs, everything seems to be aligned properly and I have tested the electric motor with a battery. The drive doesnt even try to load, there is no noise, nothing. When I first power p the drive I can see the laser eye twitch a bit like its trying to focus but no laser light comes on. I suspect the laser is bad. Would a bad laser cause the drive to not take discs? Id hate to waste $40 on a laser I dont need.
