had a ps3  what kept giving me overheating pleas shut down while playing so  i shut down when start bak up  after half hour heard a loud pow then no audio so and it will say overheating every 5 minuetes now i try hdmi and it got sound so i repaired over heating  and nw just no audio  and i dont have a hd tv so only av jacks no sound jus hum  help would b appriciated

Since (I guess) you have opened the PS3, look around the mainboard for blown components, such as capacitors. I am almost certain you will find 1-2 blown there. When you do, you need to replace them and you will get your sound back.

Usually the capacitors are swollen or have burn marks on them. When you locate such issues, you must replace them with equal valued components.

Then you are in big trouble.... can you post photos of your board? also make a focused one oon your ports.

Big Trouble means that your problem might be a chip or regulator, not a simple capacitor and they are hard to check and be replaced (is hard to find them in the market)
