Ps3 Wont Eject Or Power Up Using Front Buttons

i can power on my ps3 if i disconnect the bluray drive and reconnect it a certain way itll power up. it will only eject using the triangle button on the disc. and power off using the option in menu or the power button on the back. any idea how to fix this?
