It's a forgone conclusion that, if you insert a disk in the BluRay drive and it doesn't spin, the laser needs replaced.

I have a unit here where I insert the disk and it spins up a little.  Then stops... Then spins a little again.  It does this 3-5 times and then just sits there.

I am pretty sure that this is also a laser problem, as it does it in a drive that I know is good otherwise.

My question is, is this something that can be fixed without having to replace the laser?
