hay guys just a heads up ive just formatted and set up a 250GB hdd via USB for my ps3 this is somthing i felt worth posting due to the fact that the PS3 only reads FAT32 external storage devices and from what i have read FAT32 is not supposed to be more than 32GB in size (or somthing like that).
But any how i used a tool (
http://files.filefro...;/fileinfo.html ) that i stumbled on to format the 250GB hdd to work with the ps3 called swissknife (freeware) and just simply plugged it in and the ps3 detected all 232GB on the hdd
Not shure if any one else is aware of this kinda thing or not and ive seen various posts on it in other forums so i wanted to make shure ppl know it is possible to go larger than the allegid size limmit on the FAT32 file system
*note this external hdd was made from an external caddy and uses an IDE interface
