Hi,

In one of my laptops I use ie6 with windows media player 10. It keeps crashing when I play streaming video that requires windows media player. IT doesn't crash when i play streaming video that uses macromedia flash player or youtube. I updated to ie7 with windows media player 11 and it still crashes. I was wondering if it happens to you before and if you know how to fix it. Thanks.

Do you get an error message? It sounds like a codec problem to me. I assume you mean WMVs, do MPGs work?

I don't have problems playing mpgs, or wmvs in my laptop. Just problems with streaming videos in websites.

Okay I think I am beginning to find out what is the cause. I was able to use winamp to play .wmv files but it craps out with it plays with windows media player.

Do you have an ATI Radeon? I have been reading about issues with that card and WMVs.

Thanks for replying. My laptop has the cheap intel integrated graphics. I tried removing windows media player and re-installing and I still have the same problem I will try to use that fix tonight.
