Japanese Car Makers Courting American Politicans...
« on: March 02, 2007, 10:30:00 PM »

This is something that will happen.  Toyota is taking over GM as the top auto maker in the world partly because the American automakers do not know what consumers want or terms like 'total cost of ownership.'  American car makers ignored car reliability and customer satisfaction ratings as long as their sales are doing well.  It is only matter of time when the gas price goes up and yet American Car makers put their research dollars in making minivans and trucks is the straw that broke the camel's back.

Although Americans like Japanese cars, Americans treat the company as a 2nd class citizen.  Perhaps it is a turning point where politicans start embracing Japanese Cars like a Naturalized citizen.  Hope that the American car makers learn their lesson and can't take American consumers for granted.
