3d Software, fast becoming a big player in the field.  Written by the original team that worked on Lightwave.  Has Sculpting and texture painting built in.

Will update in a while, going to be working on it most of the afternoon.

this afternoons update, probably won't model much lower than this as the final render will mostly be a headshot

That's damn impressive, nice work!. Looks like you've taken a screenshot off a blu-ray rip or something  ohmy.gif . You must need a pretty powerful PC to do stuff like this?.

Cheers, i'm pretty happy with it though i would like to properly texture it one day so it doesnt look so "clean"

My PC, Core 2 duo @ 3 Ghz, 4GB ram, ATI x1950 O/C.

So not that powerful, enough for the amateur like me, though even I can sometimes bog it down during modelling etc.  I would have liked to of softmodded my x1950 into a firepro but it can't be done in vista (yet).

Rendering is based almost entierly on CPU, and thats where my system lets me down, the hi-res of that image (1500x1300) took about 1.5 hours to render.

When somebody is kind enough to give me a job i think an octa-core & ATI firepro system is on the cards  love.gif

pretty nice, i like the look of the rendering. the only problem i can see is what looks to be some mapping issues on the inner circle of the eyes, but that might be due to the lower resolution. i use 3DS max 8 myself, but i might have to give modo a try.

It's a smoothing error partly due to bad geometry on my part.

Heres a gold one with a little PP that looks a bit better.

Do you have any examples of your work?, i always like to see other artists work.
