try not to sound too self promoting in your bio... i realize its purpose is for promoting yourself, but some statements reek of arrogance, and id think twice about hiring 'that guy'...

just some constructive criticism...  wink.gif

QUOTE
I'm an 18 year old high school student shortly planning on attending a tech school for developing my talents.

I have taught myself some basic Photoshop/CS2 skills using free online tutorials and many hours with nothing to do. I took a VisualBasic.NET Programming course nearly three years ago and ever since, I've been learning as much as I can in my free time about programming to quench my geek thirst. Besides programming and graphic design, I do a lot of work with web development. Besides spending way too many hours on computers, I also spend a lot working on them: ie building, upgrading, fixing, modding, etc. I'm the guy everyone calls when their computer won't work or they need a new one.

In short:

Whether I'm modding an Xbox Console to run the latest distribution of the Linux Operating System or building a mechanical hit counter for webpages that sits on my desk shelf and ticks as it counts up every time someone visits my MySpace page, I'm always applying myself, trying to push myself to learn more about programming, graphic design, anything that I can use to further better my knowledge and ability to create things along with my career opportunities.

When faced with any challenge, my answer is "yes", and the solution is "whatever it takes".

After reading through your revisions, I agree that it does sound better and I'll use most of them, if not all.

Thanks for the advice.

I was just trying to put out there that I'm a fast learner, but I guess the best way would be to simply say it.

Alright, I've been playing around with the text style throughout the pages...

Which style is better...

http://kennethdahl.com/danny/

http://kennethdahl.c...nny/?style=test

I changed things like the title of each page to match the Century Gothic / Small Uppercase style of the menu links at the top of each page... changed the font of all the content text and spaced the lines a little bit...

Personally, I like the new test style... just thought I'd get some opinions though..

thanks for all the comments and advice so far guys

Ya, everyone, including myself, thinks it's better looking, so I switched them. So by default it will show the new style.

So the links in my previous post are backwards now... the 2nd one is the old style and the 1st link is the new style that was previously linked to by the 2nd link lol

If you're too lazy to play around with clicking links...

IPB Image

The old style is up top and the new one is on the bottom...

In other news... I just purchased a web package through ShieldHost.com (my host of choice cuz I've used it for 4 other accounts) and I registered the domain name DannyDahl.com
I really really want Danny.com, but it's been a redirect to a porn site for a chick named Danni for the past like... 10 years haha don't think they're giving that domain up any time soon  rolleyes.gif

I'll move the portfolio over to a subpage on the new site when it's all set up.

Fun Fact (FF as Dane Cook would call it): As of now, my portfolio has received 989 page views not counting loads from my IP address. And I have only posted it in this thread and emailed it to the best buy manager that I mentioned in the first post...

Ha, I was going through my entire music collection (~22,000 sounds) on random and shuffle mode. That was like the third song that came on and I had never heard it before but I pretty much love it. I even put it on my myspace temporarily lol
