.p3d To .3ds Or Other Formats?

I am looking for a plug-in or something that will turn a .P3D (gmax output file) into a .3DS or similar file type to use with other programs

I have google searched for several hours but i cant find anything... can someone please help me?

Do any of these help?  I can't view the actual pages from work because of the firewall, but here's the links I found.

thanks but ive been through them. i think ive got it anyway, im exporting as .OBJ instead, which is fine for what i need... wait, it means trying to copy and paste about 15000 lines of code at about 30 lines at a time *faint*
