You need a programmer, soldering iron, flux, solder, RGH chip so you probably will have to spend like $60+ easily. Might be worthwhile just to leave it RGH especially if you dont use LIVE.

You should try R-jtag it works well but timing is tricky a little of messing around to get it to boot up in shorter times.

If you do want to RGH you will have to do RGH2 and just need either NANDx or Jr-programmer, Coolrunner ver. c works okie and jrunner.

google tutorial or youtube. There is a lot of information online.
