You should be able to update to the most recent dash without issue or reflashing to stock.

Don't use backups on LIVE. It's a violation of the TOS/TOU and can get you banned. Other than that, we can't offer any advice on not getting banned. If you play with fire, prepare to get burned.

With the DeMon installed to your console, updating with J-runner will be a breeze.

Just need that USB to USB mini cord and knowledge on how to use J-runner.
