Is there any chance that the DVDKey of a console could be recovered using this chip?

Yes, you can run linux and retrieve the key from the keyvault. more info here, but you actually need a dvd drive to run linux..

I am buying one of these FOR SURE.

I can hardly wait to see Linux running at 1080p through my 360!

This is what the 360 scene REALLY needs, sure drive flashing is cool, but Linux is a whole different level of control over the 360.

Can't wait to see what will come from this development...

So... the best way MS used to prevent hacking... was... made the vulnerable 360´s self destructive sad.gif

I miss the good old one scene  sad.gif

check ebay, there are plenty left and there are lots of shops repairing. there used to be about 12 million xenons out there. i doubt 90% is gone... i got myself one for 120 euros on ebay.

search for "core" ones or just ask people if it has HDMI and what the production date is. tons out there!

wow ! XBMC running on a 360, thats great news. Hopefully they will figure out how to make it work on the newer 360's (hdmi). I still use xbmc on my old xbox almost everyday. Streaming videos and music over the network works way better than xbox360. If i wanna play something in hd then ill just use my laptop via hdmi to my tv. Either way, having a dedicated device that will play all formats would be so sweet(mkv).

Got two non-hdmi consoles here too.  Would love to see xbmc on the 360. If they could get 720p mkv's running on there, or even 1080, that would be awesome.  Keep up the good work guys!

HELL YEAH!!  can't wait for some of that.  I have an old RROD 360 that I can make work again via tensioning the heatsyncs.

i have to agree they get praise for proving the nand can be modded. but modders need to move away from a hack that works on few 360s still working and drive mods this just isnt the style of hacks that made xbox scene. we have gone from a homebrew centric community to piracy plain and simple. this is why i hardly ever post these days.

i have moved away from xbox stuff and work morre with the psp and iphone/itouch being they can both be modded heavly yes even the psp 3000 now. and the iphone has turned out to be quite the gamer device many company's have started porting ds and psp titles over. im just wating for the first true mmo to comes out on the iphone.

Blockbuster in Denmark can't seem to get rid of their remaining 20gb nonhdmi 360s. I understand why - who would want them (except for "exploiters" of which there are relatively few)?
