I have a version 1.1 of the xbox, modded with a smartxx chip and a 160gb wd hd. Whenever i try to play halo 2 my xbox freezes within a few seconds of loading any level(character moves a couple feet then halo freezes). Halo2 is not modded in any way. I was starting to think it was the xbox's hardware but I have another 1.1 that i use for xbox live only and it has no problems. Any help/suggestions on what to do?

Does it freeze in any other games?

The saves will be there also.
Check all of your connections, then reinstall halo 2.

It also freezes during ninja gaiden. The connections are fine.

Sometimes weird things happen when the clock isn't set on a modded xbox, I'd check that first. Then I'd delete everything in X, Y, Z, and E:/Cache. After all that then I'm not sure what to tell you.

I had the same problem and did exactly what AE6689 suggested "delete everything in X, Y, Z, and E:/Cache," and it worked for me. Thanks AE6689!

BTW, I have a v1.6b UXE modded large harddrive.
