" One of the biggest and most influential systems in gaming history : The Commodore 64.
With great sprite handling, graphics and the legendary SID sound chip; this is where the big software houses of today have their roots and companies like Electronic Arts became famous. Unparalleled in original games, the C64 has influenced the gaming world as no other system has.
Spanning a period from 1982 to roughly 1994 (and beyond to this day!) , the system has an unique position of being part of the 'early' 80s games machines and growing up with a new generation, with some games approaching almost 16 bit quality later on. "

Big Thanks to:
Madmab for the latest ViceX update!!
Wimpy for providing the Excellent Synopsis Editor!! Without it this would take another 2 years to finish!

This pack consists of :
- 4295 Commodore 64 games ; 'Handpicked' , tested, and the best and / or latest versions from groups like Nostalgia and Remember. All Renamed & Unzipped (so high scores will work). Game Images were changed when needed with extras or extra versions of a game for example.
- Previews
- Scene-Demo Selection
- Boxart in High quality ; Remastered and Retouched (A lot of work has gone into this, quite some Boxart is very old and / or obscure and very hard to find. The end result is quite nice , especially on HD!)
- Newly made Action and Title shots. (Existing ones were often in the wrong colors, missing borders or very simply very boring to look at).
- Manuals & Maps
- Game Info
- Game configurations! All games will load out-of-the-box , no messing around with drive settings etc. All games have their own unique controller settings! So 'Cybernoid' will have weapons mapped under the controller, 'Renegade' won't need the keyboard anymore etc. Of course heavy RPG's and text adventures will need an (xbox) keyboard. However certain RPGs or Arcade-FlightSims like 'Ace 2' or 'Infiltrator' DO have mappings!
Owe and, hehe, NO SEUCK games!
This is a complete Out-of-the-Box Commodore 64 experience on Xbox! With all configurations etc. there is nothing like this on ANY system as far as I know. Something I always wanted to have myself. A lot of work , but enjoyed making it.
Future updates will follow as new games still come out on the old Breadbox! (it's life spans from 1982 to roughly 1994 and beyond as it seems!). Also updates on Xtras like Media, Box-art backs, and Game-play Movies (Thanks to Waal for taking on this impossible task!).
Enjoy!
