Long time since i used MameDOX as i recall there was two parts to setting it up you put the main folder on your HDD
then you had to set up a couple of save files those would be put in your Xbox T and U data folders
Do a quick google search and you should find some setup info

You should really upgrade to CoinOPS it supports way more arcade games i'd recommend CoinOPS 4 Sunset Standalone
BTW CoinOPS is an update from MameDOX so nearly all your roms will work
