Loading Mega-cd Games In Neogenesis? Help!
« on: February 11, 2013, 08:12:00 AM »

I had this issue as well as i recall to get Mega CD games to work you have to 1st format the ram after you do that the game will always
load on the CD splash screen try pressing the A button that should take you to the ram format screen although different regions seem to be
slightly different on how to access the ram format page i prefer the usa region myself
anyway once on ram screen follow the info save and exit

this vid shows how to launch a proper sega cd game but it's exactly the same to format after launching an iso

Loading Mega-cd Games In Neogenesis? Help!

Hi. I've just tried playing a Mega-CD for the first time. Thanks for the info about the RAM format.

I've tried Sonic CD and it doesn't play any background music when you start the first level. Is this normal? Or do I need to do something else?

Thanks.

Sonic CD should have music in every level might be you have a bad rom try another one and see if that works idd recommend
the euro or jap versions as the musics way cooler.

Yeah you need iso/mp3 rips, or bin/cue (but those are a lot bigger)

the ape audio codec is not supported by NeoGenesis.

I've just found out that the ape files don't play wink.gif

OK so I re-encode them to mp3 and just stick them in the same dir as the bin/cue file?

Do they need to be named in any special way or will neogenesis automatically play them?

They are currently named (track 7) (track 8) ect...
