Open your control panel, then network connections, then local area network (LAN), then open TCP/IP properties, then put this in

IP=192.168.0.2
Subnet=255.255.255.0
Gateway=shouldn't need one

Then open IE (internet explorer)
put this in for your address 192.168.0.1

EDIT: I thought you were using flashbios.

Same thing but for the address to type in for IE put this

ftp://[email protected]:21

Then enter the password "xbox"

That is all if you didn't change the password or port # in Evox.

basically ,make sure the last digit of your xbox and pc's ip adress is different e.g my pc is 192.168.0.1 and my xbox is 192.168.0.3, i only chipped mt box last week and set it like ths and it works fine( im using flash fxp and a crossover cable) hope this helps!!!!

When you go to LAN, select properties, then select TCP/IP, sorry. I will help you until you get it m8.

Until you change your TCP/IP properties it won't work.

Just after you open the LAN connection. On the bottom left side of that screen it will say "properties", click that and then you will see TCP/IP properties, if not scroll down until you see it.

You can also just right click on the LAN connection and select properties to get to the TCP/IP spot

GREAT, i got it, thanx for the help guys, sorry for sounding "slow" i have just been at this all day and searched everything i possibly could.  one other question though, when i transfer files thru flashfxp it transfers at about 11-20 kbps, and about 7 hours to do one larger file(1.7 gig) is this the best i can hope for with this setup or can i "tweak it to go faster?

That is not normal. You should be getting like 5000kbps average, and like 10,000 is good. Can't think of why it's so slow though. It shouldn't ever take more than about 5 minutes though per gig.

You could open the windows firewall and set it to allow FlashFXP or you could disable the firewall (though I don't recommend leaving it open long if it's your only firewall). Not sure what exactly it could be making it that slow.

you could try useing a different dashboard, like avalaunch, XBMC, or unleashX.
I have heard of this helping other people who aren't getting good speeds. (i don't know if there's
any truth to it though).

On the left hand side is where your PC is normally, but I think it can be on the right side. Either way, I think you hit a wrong button. On the side that isn't showing your PC at the top there is an icon that has a globe and a computer on it, hit that and it should go to a folder and computer on it, and then your PC will appear in that window.

on your button bar. Your probably seeing 2 lighning bolts. One on the left window, one on the right.

The last button is a computer infront of an earth, click that (on one of the sides) and the lightning bolt will
change to "local browser" and you should then see a computer infront of a folder.

Do you happen to know what NIC card you have? Most NIC cards are 10/100mbps. If you go to your network connections again, it should show the name of your NIC card.

Yeah, that is your NIC card. It's not your problem though, as yours is standard. I think about it a little more, there has to be something on your PC affecting it. See if you can grab something off xbins and what speed you get there.

another thing, don't know if it's relevant or not, but when i download torrents from utorrent i only get the same 10-35 kbps, but downloading from web pages i get the full speed(well maybe not full speed but like 300+ kbps).
