So with the FPS optimizations, will frame skip no longer be needed in some games?

Thanks Xport! Great work, as ever!

Just one question, there is a option called "Show Gameboy Borders". It's supposed to work with GBA games too ? Because it's not working at all. Is there a option to show FPS at the screen too ? It would be nice.

Also, one sugestion for next version: pre-definited video modes. Because since we are talking here about Gameboy, it's always very problematic to adjust the screen and keep a correct aspect ratio at the same time. So, like Gameboy Player for Gamecube, you could select one of these video modes, and it will give you the screen size equivalent to GBA resolution, select another video mode, and it will give you full screen with some enabled filter to avoid too much pixelation, select another mode, and it will give you semi-full screen and go on...

Thanks again.

Hey,

Nice work Xpot. Some of the new features are great!

However, I noticed quite the annoyance. On a few games (particularly Metroid Zero Mission) the sound has become quite raspy. That's the best way I can describe the distortion that now accompanies it, and it doesn't seem to be related to lag or frameskip at all. Indeed, the games appear to be running as fast or faster than it was before. I can confirm that this distortion wasn't present on V9 (I skipped 10), so hopefully whatever introduced it can be isolated and wiped out.

Great release xPort - thanks!!

With every release it looks more and more likely that I'll keep my xbox forever.  There are emulators for almost all the early mainstream systems now, it's hard to imagine that someone will go to the effort to port these emulators all over again to another system.

Anyway, thanks again for all your hard work!

Yeah, I've noticed that too in most games.  It's even worse in Mario world biggrin.gif  I hope this gets fixed, had to go back to V10... Love music way more than graphics biggrin.gif

Good work on speeding it up a bit though

A weird bug with the Japanese version of Metroid Zero Mission:

When you set frameskip to 0, for some reason, the game doesn't respond to controller input. Neither does ingame IGR work. But you can see the game running anyway. This happens with other games as well.

My controller died on me as well with River City Ransom. I was using a Dual Shock 2 with an adaptor. I switched to a controller S and it seemed to work fine, though.
The big problem I have is it locks up when I save state. The state gets saved after having to hard boot it, even the save file works as well...
Kickass multi-game support, tho!
