What's Your Favourite Comedy Ever?
« on: October 20, 2004, 02:31:00 AM »

I'd have to say Dumb and Dumber.  After what.. 12 years its been out?  i still crack up watching Lloyd pull up to the Austrian girl at the beginning of the film.. "Mmmmm... Austrian!?"

Other ones that came to mind were
Bruce Almighty
Scary Movie 3
Ace Ventura 1, 2
Laurel & Hardy ("Here's another nice mess you've got me into!") LOL
Aladdin (yea Disney... so what) was fuckin jokes as well
Mrs. Doubtfire
Billy Madison
Waterboy
Happy Gilmore

Dude... no place in town has Billy Madison on DVD... wtf!?

Monty Python and the Holy Grail is so great...the whole Black Knight scene is hilarious :D ,as is the tale of Sir Robin, which goes something like this:

"Bravely bold Sir Robin
rode forth from Camelot
he was not afraid to die,
Oh brave Sir Robin.
He was not it at all afraid to be killed in nasty ways,
Brave brave brave brave Sir Robin.

He was not in the least bit scared to be mashed into a pulp
Or to have his eyes gouged out and his elbows broken
To have his kneecaps split and his body burned away
And his limbs all hacked and mangled
Brave Sir Robin

And his head cut off
And his nostrils raped
And his liver removed
And his penis...

...Brave Sir Robin ran away
Bravely ran away away.
When danger reared its ugly head
he bravely turned his tail and fled
Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about
And galantly he chickened out
Bravely taking to his feet
He beat a very brave retreat
Bravest of the brave...Sir Robin!"

I don't know about my favourite comedy ever though.

i was really surprised when not another teen movie came out and everyone hated it... i really liked it as im big into 80's teen movies, todays teen movies suck balls...

i was esp surprised as a lot of people make themselves out to be big into the 80's stuff (from transformers to the breakfast club)... i bet those people didnt get at least 60% of the references... dah well we all new they were posers anyway...
