Xbox Trying To Boot Once Then Shutting Off
« on: May 31, 2006, 08:49:00 PM »

I have a 1.0 xbox.  When I bought it it had a homebrew chip in it and also had the TSOP flashed.  I took out the homebrew chip, put in an X3, and flashed the TSOP back to the MS bios.  Now, months later, the xbox doesn't work when I try to boot without the chip.  It shuts off immediately, and boots to the X3.  Should I try to re-flash the TSOP?  Is there something inside that could short and cause this (I have been doing some circuitry inside)?  I'm not sure where to go with this.

its probably a normal 2x reboot and FRAG, but with the way the x3 enables it kicks in on the reboot (i had the same thing happen with aladdins)

anyway, since its a 1.0 you can try the 3 wire trick, or try to boot each bank inidvidually, if you cna get it to boot remove the wires and flash the TSOP with the retail bios again
