Questions I'm Full Of 'em
« on: January 09, 2004, 07:50:00 PM »

I have a messed up xbox...with corrupt dashboard, when its not stuck in a clock loop it kicks out an error 21. If I solder and reflash the tsop, will I be able to use slayers auto install disk reflash the tsop and restore the harddrive without using a mod chip? Also its a 1.5 and I cant find a tutorial that says 1.5 for the tsop. Any help out there?

youll probably need a modchip with a bios to skip the clockloop and dashboard checks in order to boot a cd to restore your HD

slappyafguy:

The TSOP flash trick requires that you can boot into a game (namely 007 or Mechassault).  Since you can't even do that much, just soldering the points on the motherboard won't do you any good.  If you've tried all the known tricks to get out of the clock loop (ethernet cable, pressing eject at a certain time, leaving it on with a retail game overnight, etc.), and it still is looping, then the only thing you can do is get the modchip.
