It is a skin that I intend to use as my main media center skin
on Linux port of XBMC and is really only designed originally for
media playback only not games play.

I took ideas from a few other skins that I have done or liked
Its very xTV in style and also has a few touches of Vision thrown
in for good measure (side bars and nav sounds)

This skin is for 720p 1080i only though I did include a basic
Pal16x9 font file but the icon images look real blocky edges
scaled down to that size

Its simple has no fancy view types (except Media Info) or
Animations It has large readable font (xbox people may need to
size it down a little it was meant for my 1360x768 rez of my
TV that Linux full screen uses)

If you got the premade skins instead of from the SVN Ignore this.
As I said it was made for Linux so by default there are no links
to "Programs" section you will need to run Build_for_Xbox.bat if
you want to use it on the xbox. Other wise run Build_for_Media.bat

!!! This skin has no KAI Stuff in it at all if you use KAI in XBMC
pick another skin This one wont work for you  !!!

It designed to be super mouse friendly (its for Linux remember)
And has 1 Setting in the Settings Page side bar that will add some
extra mouse features like moving the mouse over the right edge
will open the shutdown menu (right click needed to close) and also
while media is playing a hotspot will be in the middle of the
bottom of the screen that will open Player Controls so you can
FF RW Stop Pause etc... with the mouse. (right click needed to close)

I recommend that you up your icon cache to at least 384 anything
smaller and list view looks pretty average. But again like I said
its for Linux xbox might lag a little with that size cache.

Nice and simple skin, I like it, especially the Media Skin idea, I don't play much games on the Xbox anymore, so this is exactly what fits my Xbox.

I don't think so. But thats why these type of skins won't be as popular as skins that are more versatile. Its setup for big tv's only.

My $.02 is as follows: Make the home menu with just Movies, TV Shows, Weather, and Music (with GUI settings toggle for AMT, etc), then give those icons some sort of Flip 3D or coverflow effect. Then you've got super happy-skin #1!!!

4x3 no I only made it to suite my needs for linux build of xbmc, for a while I wasn't even going to let the public have it and just keep it myself. But I decided that mikes Icons needed to se the light so others can also enjoy his hard work.
That being said if you download the svn 1/2 the dimensions of the icons before you make the skin and copy the 16x9 font.xml file into a 4x3 dir it should look semi decent and in decent enough aspect ratio

So too be honest I don't care how many people use this at all I made it for me and my use alone and any development of it will be along those lines only.   The only reason it has the xbox version is because I made those pages first and decided not to delete them when I redid it

very nice skin, altho i got the media version and cannot find button to start playing dvd-videos, had to enable autorun(?)

and also the dialog changing volume and possition is nice and smal, but the dialog popping up when hitting the media info button is way to big... guess it would be much improved by only remove the picture frame.

you can open up the context menu on a drive share or when I disc is inserted "Play Disc" is an option in the side menu ( with view as, sort by etc )

YOU mean in fullscreen video ? yeah its a little big but I like the big icons and the full info
