the thing i love about this whole svn thing, is that smokehead is listening to the bug reports and updating the skin all the time. all you have to do is right click on the clearity svn folder and hit "update svn" and it will download all of the updated files and tell you what is new!  biggrin.gif

QUOTE(Aislin @ Jan 4 2007, 02:52 AM) *

I have no idea how to download this thing, and normally I wouldn't ask, but... How do I do it?
I installed that Tortoise thing and it hasn't done anything for me in Firefox or IE that I can see. :S

Thanks for any help.

Edit: Also is there anything at all out there that's comparable to XBMC for PC? I tried Windows Media Center edition and it just didn't cut it, and now that I have a 360, and my Xbox 1 is upstairs, I really really miss XBMC. I'm a sucker for album art and covers and all that. And cool skins like this. So if anyone knows of a similar app for pc that would be great.

Mediaportal is actually a port of XBMC to windows.  They keep adding new features and it has a great tivo-like recording capability if you have a tv card.

Smokehead, the skin looks amazing.  I'm very much considering upgading my 2.0.1 build now to a more recent version..

pennywisdom, you're absolutely right - it's so much easier also for the coders and less time wasted, and it goes directly into designated folder.

i could be mistaken, but with a supposed xpr program underway, i really don't see the need for uploading skins in xpr formats necessarily - especially with skins integrating the custom wallpaper option. people can just update the svn and then create their own xpr prior to uploading to minimize the upload time.

and yes, this skin is really nice looking and it utilizes all of the great options xbmc has to offer.

I'm having the same problem as a few people that I just updated XBMC using the T3CH build not an hour ago (The XBMC-SVN_2007-01-01_rev7469-T3CH-PROPER build) and it's still saying that the version that I have isn't new enough, even though it clearly says in the info tab in XBMC that I'm running Pre-2.1. Any ideas?

For those that have the greyed out, unable to select skin option:

Check you installed in correctly.  The layout should be:

CODE

XBMC/
  skin/
    Clearity/
      skin.xml
      PAL/
      NTSC/
      etc.

Regarding those with the grey'd out issue, perhaps it's because the skin.xml defaults to PAL...  Pull it up in a text editor and change the instances of PAL (and PAL16x9) to NTSC (and NTSC16x9) to see if that works.

Do not listen to this.

You will just screw things up more.

What does xbmc.log show?  Chances are you did not update properly.
