An anonymous hacker apprently booted linux onto a 360 during the 23c3 hacker convention. The hooded and cloaked man booted up some wierd screen saver.

It looks like he has something plugged into the hardrive slot, some wierd ship or something. It also looks like he boots into King Kong, Buffer overflow?

Interesting look anyway.

Yea it looks like he's got some kind of chip plugged into the HDD connector. Very strange.

I'd like to see some ACTUAL proof.  If he can boot that screen, why not boot even ANYTHING that shows interaction with Linux or OSX instead of what looks like a screensaver or could be a video?

who knows... maybe it's a beastily kind-of woman do you think?

She could be the hulk in disguise and when the moon shines on her she turns into this green-machine of doom that runs linux on her 360 and bashes through the kernels as if they were digital butter! but I guess the term green-machine is a bit outdated since the 360 is now white.... unfortunately it's now turning a bit mainstreamed and modernized clean look... gah... I liked the old black n green machine better

from this picture all close up, I can clearly see the 360 is upside down.

Why do ya think?

I'm pretty sure he didnt accidently sit it down upside down.

I'm sure its nothing, just curious.

but he is playing a DVD correct?

would it not be a little harder on the machine to run this way... no rubber feet to sooth vibrations?

its a conspiracy I tell ya, hes acually not booting anything, its all just a video.  (jk)   tongue.gif
