KeyDrive Xtractor/Patcher v1.1 -- Posted by XanTium on May 1 10:49 EST
Juanker, Scener and Apol of F-360 TEAM released a new version of the KeyDrive Xtractor/Patcher(info) - a tool that will allow you to easily extract and write the unique DVD key to/from an Xbox 360 DVD firmware file (so no need to hex-edit it manually anymore).
What's new/fixed
* Complete language support
* Fixed bug with variable keys of Samsung firmwares

I sure hope this tool won't be used by pirates to try and find a firmware hack like thespecialist's hack.
otherwise the illegal copies on live(and perhaps cheating by modified game files containing discs) will galore

Here we go for the final time...

Cheating on live by using the firmware hack is IMPOSSIBLE...

The firmware hack requires a 1:1 copy of the original disk. If you modify ANY files then its not a 1:1 backup and therefore will NOT RUN.

also the firmware hack will be useless on newer games (like the psp scene). All MS have to do is force a dashboard update on ALL new games. That way when you try to play your 1:1 backup it will update your dashboard and block the firmware hack.

You wont be able to remove the forced dashboard update because if you do then again you dont have a 1:1 backup and it wont run.

get it ??

The proper release is already in foros360.com (requires registration though).
It gave that error because it had been compiled with dynamic libraries.
If the site admin reads this, please replace the current zip file (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

i believe its missing the language files usually contained in /lang/

i nabbed a working copy off usenet
