Dunno what the update was for, but i just did it as well here in Aus. Maybe its gonna stop the xbox live lag. haha smile.gif

I've just updated toooooo!! AHHH not noticed anything yet tho!!

Just want to say how funny^^ it is that people that are pirating (yes you are) get scared when they release these patches... And as an electronic engineer i hope they catch you hahahah

Hopefully its to fix the prepaid card issues. Their are litterally thousands of people complaining at xbox.com about not being able to redeem their pre payed XBL cards.

You assume a lot. Not everyone is a "pirate" buddy. Some of us have children and a $60 disc is very easy for a child to break or scratch. There are legitimate uses for modified firmware. Regardless, thanks for the link. The update seems rather pointless if you ask me.

Im at work at the minute. My brother just rang me and said he put my 360 on and did the update online. Now when he has gone to play tony hawkes project 8 my save game has dissapeared. Anyone else having problems like this? Im mega pi$$ed at M$ for this if it is there doing as i was right near the end of the game.

I just tried my tony hawks. Works fine for me.

May well be something else.

Nope, none here... I've seen what you're talking about in the CES announcements, but i don;t think that's what this dash update is about. I havn't got it anyway. And besides, gates said that the IPTV thing wouldn't be introduced until the end of the year...

I noticed also that it loads your profile before it exits the boot up screen.  Very cool.  No more waiting for it to log in.
