Non-xbl Online Gaming Options And How Many Users?
« on: December 26, 2007, 06:56:00 PM »

I've been using Xlink-Kai on XB1 for years and love it. It's becoming more and more deserted and it's time to upgrade. I notice there aren't any XB360 users using Xlink so where are they going? Leaf? How many users are typically online playing say...Halo3 or COD4 on these services? How many on XBL?

It didn't use to be anything for 500 people to be playing Halo2 on Xlink at any given time.

The reason is that many-moast xbox 360 games implement a 30 ms ping limit on the system link part. Wich means that if you don't have under 30 ms ping to the other xbox 360 it won't connect. Wich over the internet is virtually impossible to get.

Maybe someone will figure out some protocol magic to fake a low ping over vpn sometime. But untill then it is impossible to play.
