But canadian money is worth less than USD so it's prolly around the same price.

Where exactly did you see that... because that's definitely NOT correct. It comes with a Standard Composite/RCA av cable. :huh:

i have $150 down on the $400 dollar pack it come with everythng you need to start.. HDD, wireless controller, media remote, HDTV cable and etc....

I''ve already purchased the paly and charge kit. As I think more about it, it seems that the controller may be plugged in more often than not. If you haven't bought it yet, forget the play and charge kit and opt for lithium AA batteries.

This can't be right?

To use optical sound, you will need the hi-def A/V cable. The standard RCA type cable in the core system does not have optical output.
