hi newbie question sorry if its in the wrong category. Some game backup that I load only work if the 360 has been switched off for 1 hour or so why is this ? If I have been playing on the 360 for 30 mins and swapped for another game it doesnt boot just stays at the dashboard screen. Thanks

Are you using cheap media... that is the reason...

Even some of my older verbatims have done this... if you make a new copy from your original it will work fine.

All the media you have tried behaves the same way?? It only works on cold boot??

Then I would say it is the drive itself... as the drive spins it heats up and tollerances change..

You can try the "rubberband" fix.... it possible it is overseeking when it gets warm..

havok on cold boot you can hear the drive spin a little at first (like initialising) then it spins and is a lot louder and the game loads 1st time.

But if you been playing for a while and swap for another game it just does the 1st spin not the 2nd therefore remains at dashboard.

What is this rubberband trick ?
