Indeed.  I've been holding off buying a 360 until the Halo 3 release date (hoping to score the rumored $50 price cut, too).

if anyone buys a brand new console off the store shelves then post your manfacture dates/partial serial maybe?? but not refurb's

its not the 65nm you should interested about......its the 40nm.......

its not the 65nm you should be interested about......its the 1nm....... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Imagine the logistics involved in making something like that functional.

to the one guy saying they wouldnt do it for the elite you are dumb. if they put new hardware in one box and it works, they will do it with all models. all models are essentially the same hardware wise. minus of course the dvd drive. how do i know they will do 65nm on the consoles? i just do...lets leave it at that! but its not the 65nm you should interested about......its the 40nm.......

your post says everything about your knowledge. And I will not call you names as you did.

elitegamer360, where is the logic in the arguement that they won't include 65nm chips in the elite? on the contrary to what you said previously, there is extremely convincing evidence that all 360s will be made with a 65nm process by the end of the year.

Hey everyone hows it goin. I just bought an xbox 360 elite on july 26th and it has the new second GPU heatsink, it is clearly visible from the side vent with a flashlight. Its manufacture date is 6-14-07. The elite also has enlarged vent holes in the sides and rear of the metal internal cage, they are larger than those that were in my premium system that I bought the elite to replace.
