no ps3 controller? everything the ps2 controller was with better shoulder buttons.. lighter.. and wireless.

360 controller is great. n64 controller was great but only for certain n64 games(mario kart/goldeneye).. others it was terrible(anything making use of the D-pad and C-buttons as the main controls)! dreamcasts D-pad was a little weak, imo(still one of my fav consoles of all time tho).

while the wii remote is innovative.. it's hardly a "best". and atari?! eh... genesis/saturn could have replaced atari.

Why the N64 controller? It hardly provided any bonuses. Plus the D-pad and L-button were kind of hard to reach when you used the joystick in the middle mostly.

I think the second Xbox controller (the S edition) was quite good. The first controller (the Duke) was quite a failure and it's correct that it doesn't appear on any of the lists.

i like the madcatz game pad pro 360 (redesign) better the the original x360 pad. better triggers, d-pads and analog sticks.
perfect for fps and racing games.

i own one original x360(wireless) pad, which is getting pretty dusty, and two madcatz.
just the xbox logo on the controller looks cheap, but that's M$ fault

#4 Megadrive/Genesis 6 button pad
#5 Neo-Geo CD pad

My top 5 worst controllers ever:

#1 N64
#2 Any Atari controller
#3 Megadrive/Genesis 3 button pad
#4 SNES
#5 PSX digital pad

Whoever wrote that CNET article probably never played a game in his life.

2#. Xbox 360
3#. Wii Remote
4#. Dreamcast
5#. Atari ST Joystick

PS2 had the best Dpad and Analoge sticks easy and was light, easy to use and generally good. The 360 Controller however has it all, but the sticks and dpad seem to be second best. Wii remote is obvious because its such a good idea, Dreamcast due to the triggers and look, and Atari ST joystick cos i grew up with it. Worst controller ever;

WORST - XBOX ORGINAL (BIG MUMMA)

It is the worst thing ever WAAAAAAAAAY too big, bad buttons, bad sticks and huge triggers. Complete tat
