Unrecognisable Disc Error
« on: April 29, 2013, 08:48:00 AM »

Going to contribute to your posting here.  You've got several issues going on at once.

1st - would be helpful if you told us your 360 drive.

About Unrecognized Disc - in the cases where I ran across it: it was the worm motor causing the problem.  That motor has to snap the optic in places really fast.  If gummed up or motor winding down, it won't do the job right.

Either clean up and regrease the the worm motor shaft or replace the motor if necessary.
It shouldn't be a logic error  ...so give that try.  You can also tweak the optic POT while the drive is open.

With your backups - Use Xbox Backup Creator  .... Use ABGX - for checks and patches  ... Use ImageBurn with Ihas.  Make sure your layerbreak assignments are set correct for each style.

Thankyou Wilgo for your reply. My drive is a benq ( sorry for not mentioning ). I will try what you have said and give the motor a good cleaning and re-greasing. I also replaced the laser to see if that was the problem but it's still the same.
Thanks again
