about $30 to $40 for a reflow or $50 to $60 for a reball.

Yes a reflow would be sweet. I wouldn't do a Reball until reflowing stopped working(usually around 3-4 reflows=reball).

However, if you still have the original X clamps, you can do the X clamp mod/kit and get it going again without having to send it in for a reflow. Sooner or later tho you will need a reflow so it's just up to how much you have to spend right now.

Can you recommend any good reflow services?  I'm at wit's end with my xbox and the xclamp fix isn't working any longer.  Every few months I'd have to pull the heatsinks off, clean and apply thermal paste and repeat.. but it's just not happening this time.  Nothing but freezing video whenever I fire it up.
