Trying To Make Vga Cable From Xbox360standar Video
« on: May 28, 2010, 03:53:00 PM »

Gawd, that guide you're following is terrible.  From all the time and effort it would be better to just buy the VGA cable.  If you insist on doing this project look at the link below for a mobo pin out.  I would recommend hard wiring the VGA and audio output on the xbox.  I used a dip switch to change output modes and a 3.5mm audio jack for the stereo.

Belive me man i would do that if i could but i just cant find any VGA XBOX360 Cables in my country and that's what i need(and i don't want wait month's until delivery).and i don't trust this web buying from another country...so to make it easier to help me biggrin.gif i edit the original pin out to mine here it is:http://img179.imageshack.us/f/18968206.png/
i hope now its better.
and why is it a bad guide?,seems cool to me except the pin outs.

and is it hard to solder to the mother board, and can i switch after that to HDMI and then again to VGA?with a switch or something?

Ok, that pic helps out a lot.  You need the Hsync and Vsync in order for the cable to work.  RBG are just the colors but H/V sync bring the picture together.  If your cable is missing those pins you may have issues.  Ignore pins 22, 24 and 28 but connect pin 20 to ground (that's the switch to tell the XBOX to use VGA).  Pins 25, 27 and 29 are not needed unless you want to use the optical output for digital audio.
