So i wired an optical audio port to my xbox 360 but no sound comes out. It took the audio socket from my component cable (i had a spare one =) ) and soldered it to pins 25 (data), 27 (ground) , 29 (5V). The red light turns on but i can not hear any sound. I tried without any cables connected and with hdmi connected and with component connected still no sound out of my optical port.
