Ignore the part about adding the waterblocks back, i would find the old heatsinks, to apply downward pressure when heating the bottom of the board.

Of course if you use the water blocks to do that I see a melting tube in your future.

Honestly I read where you said your heatsinks are on very tight...I would be very careful about overtightening screws on a xenon board.  Honestly I would make sure you slightly loosen the heatsinks then methodically work with the tension for the motherboard and case screws till you can get it to boot to the dash....I think you just have your motherboard and heatsinks screwed to a different tension and this has caused the board to flex a certain way casuing a loose connection...
